• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

zzps xpz cam

LOL stage 4 vendor heads for a trillion doll hairs.

You must have money burning a hole in your pocket.

And no, not a huge fan of the XPZ and it's lame specs.

Josh you know why zacks car ran that fast?

Weight reduction... you posting that video is completely irrelevant to this discussion.

Dyno comparison sheets are the true facts for this.

I just said what it CAN do.. Not what it does every time....

What it CAN do with plenty of platform know how and tons of time and tuning.

No thanks.

For that money, upgraded valve springs, intercooled Z3 kit, custom WB tune...faster car.

The end.

So once again...we're going to turn this into

..a big supercharged setup is a waste of a couple thousand if not more..

A simple turbo kit, will not only gain you the same numbers...but cost a lot less.

yea street car Matt, and im not looking to put 1000's into it im gonna get my heads ported for cheap and run a cam springs and a few other goodies :)

Hi started this thread. i have intercooler, ported lim, tb, sc, injectors, headers, and exhaust. wanted to get cam, heads, lifter, roller rockers. spending some money before i buy a house

i dont its just that the xpz is like $480 and the IS3 is like $325

Wut.

It comes with $115 worth of pushrods.

OP: You didn't state your goals, priorities, driving style, use for vehicle, etc etc etc etc etc. And once you have all of that, you should be able to make the decision for yourself.

damn im an idiot didn't really read that lol

OP not trying to thread jack

so you think im better off with an xpz then an IS3 for a street car?

street car, 4th car so it would'nt have to be a daily driver. and my goal is to produce alot of hp. and have fun driving it.

Either cam will work.

Its like trying to decide between an XP or S1X.

Unless you're going to go to the ends of the earth to try and make high 300's or low 400's, either will suffice.

well i already had the Is1 cam with lifter, roller rockers, rods, with an intercooler. Im lookin for more hp. I plan on bringing it the the track. Im looking to have that feel of a cammed out motor

Personally I'd take the IS3 over the XPZ. I know people who daily drive both... neither are big enough to cause drivability issues. Although swapping out your current cam for a bigger one with heads isn't going to give you the kind of power increase you probably think it will. The IS1 cam is already a big jump over stock.

Good luck with whatever you decide on!
