I have a 01 grand prix gt with 190,XXX on it.The tranny has been rebuilt before. I have considered buying a L36 with around 89,XXX miles but I was wondering if i buy the ZZP Z3 Turbo Kit and the HD transmission Upgrade kit will i need anything else for my car to run right. This is my daily driver so im not looking to do any other mods like a cam,lifters, or catback exhaust. I dont do burnouts but i do occasionally get on it. Also what would be my recommended top boost to run safely. All help appreciated. Thanks
 


If you are turboing you will eventually blow the trans it could last a little while but with that many miles I wouldn't plan on it.
 
All the HD transmission upgrade will do IS allow burnouts to be "safer"...you can still toast an HD diff pretty easily with that power...people do it on stock GTP power levels that drive like asshats.

Regardless, I'd put my money towards an awesomely built transmission from Triple Edge before I'd crank up the power levels...but that's just me. That way you never have to worry about the trans in the future really, especially if you don't beat on it like you say.
 


Motor isn't really ever much of a worry these 3800's can take quite a beating.

It's all in your tune...so I'd invest in a wideband and have someone close to you that can tune take care of that.
 
Motor will be fine as long as you keep the up keep on it. Changing the oil and tune up and stuff like that.
