ZZP Power Drop Harness

Does anyone have a idea as to where this plugs into I searched behind the glove box, fuse box and around it and can't find any where to plug it in.. Thanks
 


"Get sick of trying to find an accessory power, constant power, and a ground under the dash? This plugs right in.
Installs behind the glove box, accessed from underneath by laying on the passenger side floor and removing the carpeted cardboard cover. It is held in with push fasteners. Once removed the plug is a few inches up behind the glove box area. Install should take 3 minutes."

I'd say remove all the stuff in the way and keep digging.
 
Thanks dude! I was looking up in the wires never removed any paneling etc so that definitely helps now I have somewhere to search it's a pretty obvious harness plug so should be simple..

Btw I'm hooking up my voltage gauge and don't want to hook it up to the stereo like I had on my old car because it's off if the radio is off.. And it's good to have for any other accessories I might get.. Like a 2/3 gauge pillar pod :-)

What year car do you have? I believe this is intended for 97-03. On an 02 recently I found the connector taped to the outside of the loom on some of the wiring, and it was right behind the glove box.

It is a real pain to find. It is under there, near the fuse panel. You typically have to dig. I have seen it taped to the harness before.

Like I said I will have to really search when I have time if I knew that it was a pain to find I wouldn't have gotten it I just want to hook up a voltage meter.. Just wish they said it was a headache the make it sound so good and easy lol BTW BillBoost37 why aren't you coming to the meet up in June? I was looking forward to meeting you! I had my trans done from a shop the did my fathers GTP and my old K5 Blazer it was 1500$ 12,000 mile or 1 year warranty.. Do you think it would be useful to add a trans cooler when I have the cash or just keep up with the fluid changes etc thanks
 


If I recall correctly, the forum consensus on trans coolers is that they're just a source of extra leaks, unless you tow things.

Thanks I figured there was a reason why most people don't have them.. While I have you on here they are selling a from what is stated GT DIC but it has the MPG, oil life etc and mine doesn't have that.. I thought they were only for the GTPs the advanced ones if not can I drop the advanced one in my GT? Thanks
 
Well...I can go to Cape Cod (house right on the water) for a week with my girl or I can go to a meet with a bunch of non-showering guys......lemme think that one over. :th_laugh-lol3:

On the power drop. Some cars it's hanging there because it came free from it's paper tape stuff. Thing that is funny to me is this thing is there why? GM wasn't really in the habit of adding in extra wire "just because", that is added cost. Oh wait..maybe they did it because they only gave the car a lego block boost gauge, no oil pressure gauge and one heated seat.

Jesus Bill I almost had a panic attack when I saw the steering wheel down and stuff lol just looks like it would be hell to put all back together.. And yes I do understand going to cape cod lol cars are high priority but our women are higher! Enjoy bro!
 
I sent that picture to my neighbor kid (it was her car) and in normal fashion she sent one back and said, "yikes, I know you can fix it". And I did..lol

ZZP's site still says "buy a pcm and a 3.4". There is tons of old info that people have learned more about. Do your homework, if the trans runs hot..get it a cooler. You are only causing a leak if you do a poor job installing a cooler.

When I say a poor job:
Running the lines where they can get hit by road debris or cut by something along the route they run, not taking a little slack into consideration for when the motor moves. Not using proper clamps or adding additional clamps. Not flaring ends of tubes etc. Do a poor job, get poor results.
 


Stop on over...I've installed a ton.

BTW, if I can pull that dash apart then unloom and untape all the wire.. I think you can find the power drop. Whatcha say?
 
Definitely as soon as I get cash and time.. This meet is gonna wipe out extra funds for the month.. Btw I'm disabled from a motorcycle accident which is why I need help installing things now I have limited usage of my right arm before that I installed everything solo.. I still do a lot but certain things are impossible with 1 arm :-( lol
 
Actually now that I don't need it I found my power drop it was actually behind the radio and way down in a bunch of wires
 
Really behind the radio? Maybe there's more then 1 location for it.. Because from everything I've read and been told it's behind the glove box either way if I have to take the radio out I will just install it that way rather then the power drop.. But when I do install it I'm gonna look now maybe it will be there
