zzp pcm

First off, I realize many of the members on here are opposed to the zzp pcm. I was one of the few to go ahead and take my chances with the pcm (I had store credit from my stock cat return lol.) I have a 97 gp n/a and a new pcm is probably the best mod for these cars. I realize some are probably better than zzp, but this thing is awesome. The second gear lag is gone and the shifts seem a lot more "crisp". I plan on taking it to the track to see what my new numbers are. last time I was there, I ran a 16.3. I returned my core and decided to go with store credit as my refund. My question to you guys are, do I go with the lowering springs zzp sells, or should I go for the zzp strut tower brace? The stb seems to have some good reviews but I don't understand how you will notice a change in handling due to this...or...I'm open to any other products to use my credit on. There isn't a whole lot of choices due to having a gt. ah well.

Strut tower brace vote from me. glad you got a good PCM from them for once.

No need to flame other vendors... I havent had a bit of problem out of my zzp pcm, however.. i wouldnt call it that now, due to all the tuning I have done with it.

Any vendor product can have issues, its how one handles business that makes them profitable and recommended.

I would say STB as well, but if you dont have an FWI intake, get one... I am for go fast mods :) ... maybe a DIY shift kit?

not to bash any vendors but.......zzp is famous for blowing motors(not sure if this is just gtp set up's or gt's as well.........look at the facts) the fact that they feel or are so fast is probably because they are on the line of safe/all out performance. why not just spend the money and get a custom tune which is better yet, and save your motor in the long run.... Yes, I like a vendor to handle issue, but they have blown numerous peoples motors on here, and what are they gonna do about that? Are they gonna replace them. I believe ZZP in most other categories does a good job and makes quality products........just not their pcm's......fwiw........I would also vote strut tower brace vs. having it lowered, but it is all personal preference so do whatever you would like to do more.........I vote for the fenderwall intake as well if you don't have one............TDC makes them if you don't know already........

Strut tower brace or GMPP sway bars. I'd do sway bars before STB. Or fender well intake, maybe a 2.5: downpipe to get rid of the U-bend?
If I lived in Ohio I wouldn't lower it unless it was a summer only car. Snow is just around the corner....

your car is N/A. the likely hood of you blowing your motor up is damn near zero so of course that tune made your car run better. try doing that with higher timing on a boosted motor and tell me that the tune is just right.

lowering the car will help with handling more than the STB, but im not sure how you are on lowered cars. my car on eibachs looks fantastic and handles pretty well, but it rides harsh. if youre looking to keep cadillac-esque ride then keep the stock springs.
