• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ZZP headers

Right. And that's my main reason for getting them. Because of the primaries ect.

There actually the same price as the togs when you add in the shorty DP (tog's come with one) for 50 bucks.

If I end up top swapping and get serious with the car, these will definitely be installed.

So your for them too huh? Thats good to know. Does anyone actually know of anyone that has bought these yet? Just out of curosity. Doubt I would be the first but that would be pretty cool lol...Kinda like a crash test dummy

A review on zzp's website. Maybe this is what i was talking about with the hp gain over the pacesetters.

Amazing headers! I had Pacesetters on my high compression XPZ setup, and couldn't get over 338 WHP on 93 octane. Just switching to ZZP headers netted a 16 WHP increase on the same 93 octane! Construction quality seems to be first class, and there is no audible ticking noise as is common with some other headers and down pipes.

Im ordering these tomorrow morning after i deposit some money in the bank.

what all do I need for these headers? I see a lot of options for downpipes and such. Basically I just want to run headers then a cutout. What problems would arise from doing that on the 3800 other than the O2 sensors going ballistic...?

Thanks

If you don't have a tog downpipe and have a stock 2 1/2'' cat back and are planning to weld the cutout in then get the headers, mild steel or stainless shorty downpipe and pick up a 3'' to 2 1/2'' flanged reducer from ZZP for 8 bucks theat will bolt up to the stock catback. All you will need then is a short section of 3'' pipe to go from the shorty DP to the cutout (Assuming it is a 3'') then from the cutout weld the flanged reducer to that. Then that bolts up to the stock catback.

3 welds and your done.

Also the o2 sensor is not going to be past the cutout so your ok. DO NOT run the cutout before the o2 sensor. Because it would be just like an o2 sensor was never installed.:th_thumb-up:

If the cutout is closed I shouldn't have sensor issues right??? I'd prefer to not have to go through the cat first then the cutout. I want cutout before and close it during emissions testing. I've never ran a cut out before. I had a full exhaust on the Talon...

He's talking about the upstream O2 sensor, not the downstream O2 sensor. Most cutouts are installed before the cat.

Ok so your keeping your cat.....well do just like I said but put the cutout before the cat like sabrewings said.

I see now, I misunderstood what you were saying first. Yea I'll be keeping my cat just to prevent the hassle of having to change my exhaust before emission checks every 2 years here... what a pain.

I'll probably be ordering these once I get my plugs and wires changed (shipped). Hopefully I'll be able to let you all know how it goes!

Ill take some pics friday or saturday...more detailed pics...I'll inculde before and after pics of the installation. Along with some other parts i ordered :th_mischievious:
