• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ZZP Header Install

And also where do you pick up shortened "Dog Bones"? I'm guessing that's the things that are holding the engine? Two right in front of you when you open the hood?

you dont buy them if you want good ones. the ones sold are dogbones from a montana mini van and they are 1" shorter. you only want them to be 3/4" shorter for our cars. 1" shorter is too much and your lower mounts will suffer as well as your exhaust may now be eating the tunnel under the car or the firewall.

hmm so what are your options with aquiring these "shortened dog bones"?

I have seen where people re-drill the holes on the original dogbones and hack the rest of them off. Not quite sure if that's a very good practice though. Do you need the shortened dogbones with the ZZP headers ? I wasn't aware of this if you do.:th_scratchhead:

But i learn something new about our cars everyday. :th_cigarsmoker:

the reason for shortened dogbones is to cure lowering vibrations. you wont need them for headers. i did was ryno said, redrilled the holed 3/4" back and hacked the front off.
