ZZP Exhaust

Hi, I've got a friend who wants to know if a ZZP 3" cat back exhaust will fit on a stock 02 gtp. Stock headers/downpipe. Or if he will need to buy the zzp downpipe. I also wanna get the cat back exhaust do I get a 2.5" or 3", I've got SD headers. I've also got an 02 gtp.

It won't matter what size you get, you won't outflow either size pipe anyway.

Couldn't tell you what they bolt up too, maybe call ZZP and ask them. I can only assume they are suppose to bolt straight up to a factory downpipe or ZZP downpipe as the flange is the exact same style. The SD headers bolt up right to a factory cat-back as well.

That being the case, any GP exhaust kit will fit. You could probably piece together one for cheaper if you wanted.

I had 3" Borla and launch seemed a little less violent. It ran the revs up quicker tho. No tune in that car, btw.

Sadly the only way it would "run the revs up quicker", would be if something was blocked...collapsed resonator or muffler or potentially typical failing cat.

No.. had a Random Technologies cat (no u-bend) on that one. Was maybe a couple months old at the time. The old exhaust came off in one piece. Stayed that way until I moved and gave it away.

There was a noticeable difference in low-end torque. The engine seemed to breathe easier is what I meant. Delivery seemed just a tiny bit smoother. Not that it raced up the redline like an F1 or anything, lol.

They were. I do not recommend. It never clogged, but it chewed up the donut gaskets even after I deburred the horrible edge on the inside. Absolutely awful for the price.

Rynoman had a RAT 2.5" with a custom 2.5" Magnaflow catback.

Re-tuned it with a 3" catless ZZP Downpipe and he picked up nearly 20~ WHP. I'm not saying that's going to be for everyone but it most likely was showing the flaw in their design.

Excellent. I have no doubt Rynoman picked up power. The numbers say a lot. Kinda like, don't buy a Random Tech cat.

If it saves one person the BS I had with mine, ya know? Ugh, the memories are still ..taxing.
