The more I see Fbody's the more I want one for a weekend warrior...friend of mine has a ws6 that is amazing shape and really fast but those aren't cheap to find
 
yeah its getting harder and harder to find clean ones, i found mine 4yrs when prices were cheaper and it still needed work. It seems recently people are going crazy on prices. Z28s and TAs are going to be cheaper then ss and ws6s (but they are they same thing minus some body modifications)

Yep, I had a guy roll up in my driveway 2 weeks ago and ask if my wife's Camaro was for sale. I told him everything has a price. Needless to say he didn't like the price I gave him. For what he wants to pay, he won't get a clean and well maintained Fbody with decent miles.

That seems too cheap to be legit, but that person may not realize what they have. I would be sure to have the VIN verified to be a real Firehawk before buying. A few guys on Fbody forums have been suckered on fake firehawks and such.

Are those other 15k Firehawks sitting at 130,000 miles?

I'm sure we all know that 130k isn't really alot for a 99 and a LSx car but reality is that even for a SLP Firehawk package (ASSUMING it IS LEGIT) it is a now a 15 year old car with over 100,000 miles. Value goes down. Plus if they just want to get rid of it to purchase something else, or if its due for maintenance the seller doesn't want to put out money for, variables could drop it down.

Then again, could be fake, can't trust anyone on CL these days.
 
127k is pretty damn high for a firehawk. My guess is it's either not a real 'hawk or it's been rode hard and put away wet..
 


Or the owner just didn't care about it and wanted to enjoy the car for what it was. Some people care about low miles, other just want to enjoy the car each day. If I bought one, I'd drive it all the time.

This...My dad owns an 02 Conv Vette that never gets driven. I think it has less than 25K on the clock. What is the reason you buy a nice car???? to enjoy it........

haha yeah thats quite a few miles so its hard to say what the seller is thinking and if its legit, just have to check vin number but i can see it going either way

Yeah mine has 122K :D and i DRIVE it but maintain it as well - there is a fine balance :)
 


no actually the modding to the camaro stopped when i got the gxp lmao

There are a few more things id like to do to the camaro but it runs really good so motor wise i wont do anything for a while (maybe) haha

i got the gxp back in January and have only done a few things to it
 
just want to drive it basically

So far its got TEP trans, cooler and 3.29 gears. Also has 20% tint and tinted out lights too

I want to do full exhaust (headers to borla catback) and intake, powdercoat the wheels. And maybe lower it a smidge, but thats about it

oh and i need some basic stuff like new headlights
