• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1972 Ford Courier Stake truck ~ incredible survivor! Runs and drives - cars & trucks - by owner

$450 for a 2004 Silver Grand Prix GT1 with 160,000 miles (originally from Arizona brought to MI in 2014 - little to no rust)! Grand Prix had a broken coolant elbow. I replaced the elbows with the metal ones and just to be safe I changed the water pump (old one appeared to be relatively new (green antifreeze in it instead of the orange). $50 to have the car towed to my house and $70 to fix it myself.

The tire's are still good (no uneven wear). The original owner had some EBC brake pads installed and they really chewed up the rotors (so I need rotors and pads). It is hard to believe that this vehicle is not equipped with anti-lock brakes! I managed to find a set of rear Hawk pads & rotors (Sector 27) for $35 off of Amazon. I was hearing some grinding in the winter so when we had a warm 60 degree day in January I installed some low priced Prostop pads on the front & rear for $30.

I installed a new battery before winter (Bosch AGM $150).

I found the alternator needs replacing (looking for a Higher Output that stock replacement now), I estimate the cost at $200.

So I have about $1000 in this vehicle (possibly $1,200 when I do the front pads and rotors with Hawk Sector 27)!

$600 for a 2007 Trailblazer LS with the Vortech 4.2 Inline 6 cylinder engine (124,000 miles). Purchased this with an engine noise (work in progress).

I removed the valve cover and found wear on the top of the inside of the cover from the timing chain (there was no top timing chain guide installed on this engine). I purchased a new Timing Chain Guide, but I can not find ware it bolts to the cylinder head).
There is either some type of bracket missing that goes between the cylinder head and guide or a 2007 cylinder head did not have this guide.
