Why? It's a legit point.

Rambling products and numbers is cool...when you were in high school. I'd bet 20 to 1 this "700 WHEEL HP Manual Trans" WBody never sees 10's...and if it does...it'll be 10.99999 @ a billion mph.

Why make all this power when you can't even use it? Sub 500 WHP Auto WBody's are cracking off low 11 high 10 second passes with half the stuff your using...so...your build is moot?

Time for AWD conversion? LOL

You've done nothing but hate on this and for no reason. Speaking of learning, you're a great example of how to be totally ignorant.

LOL Go and search any of my other posts. All I do is help people when I come here. Im ignorant for disagreeing with someone about thier setup? Call it what you want, but people should know the truth instead of drooling all over his balls like you all seem to like to do. Thats why he posts this garbage here. And what am I exactly jealous of? I have a pretty beefy ass setup myself if you didnt read my sig. This guy comes here so you all can stroke his ego, sad part about it is that some of you are fighting harder than he is. Im done with this thread. Good luck on your build kuntzie.

the car could make 300whp and i'd still like it.

the bags. the wheels. the 5 speed. it's all something i'd want on this platform that i can't have. so it's easier to make big dyno numbers with a manual, who cares?

t24, id really like you to drive my car, its something you cant really describe, even at 400whp it was more fun then any automatic fwd car ive ever drive, the rowing through the gears just makes things intresting,

fwiw.
the civics, fwd talons, srt4s have seen 8s, 9s, on manual transmissions, sure the hp needed is higher, but the numbers arent over inflated by a crazy number, like 10% max so 700whp, ok 630whp on an auto .... but yes my 700whp manual will get beat in most cases by a 500whp auto grand prix

And having owned a 500whp grand prix, I can tell you that it would have taken STUPID amounts of work to get it from a 11.7 second car to a 10.99.

tilton 1.44" high release bearing for the most clearance i could make.
new flywheel to accomidate that weighs under 10lbs, the clutch pedal travel is only about 3/8", its like an on /off switch.

the clutch is steped and the back side is rounded,
the guys from tiltion (where the clutch and release bearing are from) are excited about my build and want pictures of the installiation and such.

i had to get a centric sleve for the release bearing to sit on the input shaft, and the braided clutch lines, that will both be done tomorrow and then the assembly will begin this week, i hope to have the engine in by the end of the week.

clutch on, flywheel on, release bearing ready for my braided lines to come in, safe to say im the only 284 with a push style clutch,

look how tight those clearances are in there! so much measuring and number crunching to make it all fit,

rundown:
custom made flywheel locally, tilton triple disc clutchs in sintered metallic, tiltion 1.44" height 8000 series slave cylinder (459$ :S) -3AN fittings and stainless braided teflon lines, the master is stock with a braised -3 fitting on it aswell so no plastic or rubber lines

also, this trans has under 55k miles on it, so clean!
