• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

You grand prix guys call those brakes? Ha.

something bigger than this

Estimated curb weight: 5300 lb.

With the tow package.

Too bad I have rear drum brakes.

aka little old 1500, you are lucky is a 1500 with drum rear, if you had a 2500 or 3500 it would have a full floating rear end and you would then need to pull the axle, then the castle nuts, snap rings, springs and washers, and then have 60 to 80 pound drum come off. and they warp good.

the 1500 should just slid off like normal

and the 8 lug brakes have a even bigger disk.

my last truck 2003 2500 HD had 4 wheel disk brakes and weighed in at 6400 with me in it, empty, and a 10,000 lb tow rate. and they come with either 373 or 410 gears.

moral of the story, 1500's are girls trucks lol cant tow anything large or haul anything over 1/2 ton.

unless its a Yukon, even still i'd get a 2500

If I had it my way it'd be a 3/4 ton. It's not like we have large stuff to tow though, I've only ever pulled a friend's waverunner. plus its for sale now.

I had a Chevy Express 3500 with the whole floating rear axle thing. When I found out how much for new rotors, pads, rear brakes & tires all around cost,:th_wtf::th_shakinghead1: that was enough for me to throw in the towel.
