I came to these forums hoping to find technical info about my 3.1L. You know, looking for common problems, insight, past experiences, etc. I posted my thread in a not too far off section and I got nothing. A few views, but not even a thought after 24 hours of being on here? Is there no one who works on basic problems or symptoms that reads these forums?

I work for Ford, and I know ins and outs of engines blah blah blah. Not tooting my own horn or anything, but I have posted SUPER basic tech knowledge on a few threads with multiple replies...

Anyone have a different forum site I can go to that will have a better technical community? :th_shakinghead1:
 


Many people gave you comments and suggestions in your other rant thread. While it was probably off topic, you had mentioned it and we commented.
 
1) Almost everyone is here for the 3.8L engine, most with (or wanting to add) a supercharger. There is very little knowledge here to support the 3.1L.

2) Patience is a virtue.

3) I am sure if you work for Ford in a mechanical position, you are capable of troubleshooting a transmission that is on its way out and a clogged heater core without any assistance from us.

your the first person i have seen in the year ive been on this form to come on her and ***** about not getting help istantly. if you dont like it then leave and dont come back we dont need people like you *****ing about god knows what and so on
 


I'm terribly sorry guys. I really really need to lay off the 'sauce' lol. I've made more than an ass of myself on these forums and I've only been a member for a few days.

1. I would like to apologize to anyone I offended or made fun of.
2. I'm not a girl.
3. I pretty much disregarded a lot I learned about transmissions I learned in school when I was hired as a diesel tech and primarily work on 6.0L Powerstrokes and their problems :th_angry1: which usually don't have anything to do with transmissions.
4. I have thoughts on whats wrong with my 3100, but money is tight and I figured I'd come here to find insight on what I thought was wrong and compare.

I got carried away with what I ultimately came here for and I'm really not usually like how I have been acting.

Once again, I'm really sorry guys... :(

Once again I'm sorry, I showed my drunk-asshole side after I joined. I don't know why I did it, but I did and I'm regretting it.

Regarding the whole help thing, I'm used to the Powerstroke forum I religiously read and surf when I get a chance. I have started a couple threads on there and after 30 minutes there is 20+ views and 2 replies which were posted at almost the same time. Once I get the info I need, you'll probably never hear from me again...

Dude, relax...it was a joke. I have been on other forums that have had much better response too. I really do understand where you are coming from. Some of the sites are AZ350Z, VWvortex, chevy truckworld, etc. Beleive me when I say that I really do understand. I have felt this same frustration here. This site seems to cater to the 3800 motor, which makes since considering it is the most prevelant engine here. My 5.3L has almost no support here or from any aftermarket companies either. I feel ya and if I can help you out in any way, let me know!
 
jesus dude you think the forums are a service manual? wtf. no one owes anyone here sh*t and doesnt need to give out free help. however, most are nice enough too. but posting a problem then coming back throwin a temper tantrum that no one helped you?! im f*ckin glad no one helped your impatient, lazy, drunk, cant-look-sh*t-up-yourself ass. gtfo
