• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Xpz l67/l36

Are you going to spend more time in or out of boost?

If out, L36 is the way to go. Even on max power builds, higher compression is the way to go with an M90.

Im not gonna lie im in boost most of the time and love getting into it. i do want a pretty high end build my goal is 350 HP or over that the closer to 400 im happy.

Have a budget of a couple thousand for your trans?
Yeah i have a idea of how much its gonna be but trans is the last thing on my build since its gonna be the most expensive just havent decided who to go with either Tim King or TEP.

Make sure you have the crank gear chamfer corrected to fit the US crank. The double roller sets are designed and made to fit the Aussie motors. CGP has a timing chain thread in the L67 section that everyone should read. Then follow Janice's link back to his thread for the pictures, specs etc. Otherwise..your chain is deflecting and the oil pump cover having .020" taken off it..it's the fix, it's a short term band aid.

^^ thanks I didn't know that I know once I start putting it together I will be needing all the help I can get ad double checking everything I don't want something small running everything.

So what do you guys think L67 or L36 as a DD i forgot to mention i also have a sfi balancer & 8 rib setup. most of my runs i make on the street then at the track anyways.

Just run the low comp bottom end.

If you want to bump compression a little...mill the heads, get custom length pushrods, and cometic head gaskets.

Well don't wanna spend anymore money getting the heads done or pushrods since I have the xpz pushrods already and gonna be gettin the intense stage 4 heads for it.

You don't want to spend extra money but you're buying vendor stage 4 heads?

LOL

Fo a decent if not great price imo lol heads tranny and tune of course are the only major things holding me back and have been for months now i have collected so many parts for the build i want to get started already.

Sir

Fuel economy with stage 4 heads and XPZ?
You are in need of another car.
Go get a Honda and DD it while you're working on the race car.

My car actually got better MPG's with my hogged out heads/big cam setup...it's all about the flow.

Vendor stage 4 heads are over two grand...you can have better heads done a local machine shop with a good rep for way less than that.

Just giving le guy options.

Well what about at half the cost intense sells them for is that a good price? 1k for stage 4 heads? Also i know this is out of topic but can we run E-100 on our gp's without a problem also is it better?
