Today I decided to be a little rough with her (The GTP) because I wanted to see how she was holding up, I warmed her up and drove her to the nearest straight away, floored her and this is what I got

When it makes that noise it won't shift till I let off the gas. Also if I drive normal, she shifts normal . Wtf is going on?!

Is the car your daily driver or are you storing for winter? Or has it sat for a long time before driving, like several days or weeks?

Have to ask :-) but have you checked the fluid level?

Also I know you mention the ses is from the o2 but did you have it scanned to make sure a new code has not popped up.

This car is my daily driver but I had it down for like a week due to the valve cover gasket job. It took me a week due to my work and school schedule.

Yes I've checked the fluid level it I've gotten it up to operating temp and tested it seems like it looked like it was right on max

Also before I did the gasket job and that's when I got the 02 code, your right I'm gonna check it again tomorrow

I've been adding fluid over time due to a trans fluid leak where the trans fluid lines meet the rad but I've always kept up with it and never let it get low..

Do you think it's possible I've added too much fluid and that could be the cause? Today is the only time I've had a major trans problem, I've never had a problem shifting or anything

There's one more thing, the trans does get hot if I'm doing city driving I think the hottest I've gotten it was 225 because I was beating on it for test reasons. I was testing how hot I could get it city vs highway to determine if I should get a trans cooler but this was a few months ago .

The ICM is the Ignition control module. Its under the 3 coil packs where the plug wires run into. Not sure where the ground is but it should be close.

Does it only do it at WOT or does it do the same thing at partial throttle?

Could be a lot of things man. Maybe your tranny mount is going, fluid issue, converter issue, shift pressure issue, electrical. Again get it scanned asap and post up the code if there is one and we can try to steer you in the right direction.

Man this sucks. I hate tranny issues. I left a message with one on my tranny guys as soon as he gets back to me I'll post up.

Again it it only doing it at wide open throttle?

Its the small wire that comes off the icm and sits under the mounting stud that is directly below the icm bracket, but I highly doubt that is your problem.

First and foremost, I have not seen you post-up that you have checked the fluid level lately. HOW DOES IT LOOK NOW. You posted earlier that you have been adding fluid from time to time due to a trans leak. My tranny guy said the following could be causing your issue. If you have a leak and keep adding fluid and don't get a good accurate reading every time and make sure your not overfilling you could have the issue your having. If you add to much fluid and run the car the tranny fluid can get a "FOAMY" consistency. Basically, it gets a ton on tiny little air bubbles in it. This can cause slippage or bucking because its throw the pressures off when the fluid is running through the valve body and torque converter. He said a possible solution is to drop the tranny pan to get the excess fluid out. While your at it change the tranny filter and gasket. Then very carefully and slowly add new fluid Checking often while the tranny is up to operating temps.

At this point I would bring it in to have the tranny leak fixed. While they are in there fixing have them drop the tranny pan and replace the tranny filter, tranny pan gasket, and fluid. (DONT HAVE THEM DO A FLUSH) Also this is kind of a DICKHE8D MOVE but.........if you have a dealership do the work don't tell them about the tranny issue so if it continues to buck/shake at WOT after they work on it you can blame it on the shop. Again I KNOW THIS IS A DICKHE*D MOVE BUT I HATE STEALERSHIPS.
