• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

wtf have i done?

Ouch! I had the EXACT same noise in my car. For me i threw a rod, and instead of rebuilding i opted to get a lower KM engine put in my car. Happened right out of the blue as well.

Total bill was $3800 Canadian when all was said and done. Sorry man!

and it really sucks when it happens twice in a month.

i know its junk, but what about needing a differential? i just need to know if the '97 gtp engine will work in my car before i go out and try to put it in

He originally said to grab the diff from the GTP because it's stronger. The way the diff attaches to the output shaft was different in the 97s, though, so it would involve swapping more than just the diff. As long as you aren't stupid driving your car, your stock diff should be fine. Don't worry about it.

Alright cool. So lets say later on my trans finally gives, i wouldnt be stuck having to get a crappy '97 one would i?
