Wrecked!

Well you don't just tell them a price you gotta take into consideration the kbb and try to find one similar for sale in the area in similar condition to give you a idea on what they sell for. Etc. don't take the first amount they offer you but also be reasonable... Don't expect 10k for a 10+ year old high mileage car.

Wonder how much the insurance company wants if you buy it back off them. You could probably part it out and make some money back.

I called the insurance they said its up to me what to do with the car. Someone wants the whole car but idk how much i should sell it for

I would keep it and part it out but that depends if you want to hassle with that. If the engine and trans is still good you could get some decent money for that same goes for random interior bits and seats ect. But I dont know how selling the whole car would go because its beyond repair.

Yeah i bet the engine and trans still run perfect ima go check it out but just a suggestion from u guys if i dont want to deal with parting out and i have this guy wanting the whole car. How much is descent for it being in that condition? Maybe 1k or less?

Well it's owned by the instance company now so unless you do a buy back it's not yours to sell right now.

Not til you sign the title over. They want that asap. You holding the title is what keeps them negotiating within reason. If you become difficult and unreasonable they will quit working with you.

Beats me, I think parts alone are worth 1k if the engine and trans are good but. Its a hassle to part it out I would imagine and if you not in Ohio or Michigan you really don't have the people near you who could drive to get stuff.

But doesn't that only apply if he had full coverage ect. When my buddy totaled the exploder he just gave it to the tow guys because it sat for 3 days and had the storage and tow fees ect and he just had liability.

I know right why is it that in those states theres more ppl with grand prix and etc lol i notice that. So guys quick question i have a small title loan for 250 on the title should i pay it so i dont have to worry about the title and have it in my hands? I dont even know if my insurance will even want to deal with fixing it since it was only liability with uninsured only for medical. So ill ask my lawyer what i should do today he might want to get $ from my insurance instead

did your friend just drive it into a tree or something? sounds like a one man crash. cause he'd have uninsured motorist if he was hit by another person with out ins.

say i hit your car, drunk even. my ins will fix or buy your car out. if i have no insurance, un insured motorist comes into play from your policy and even if you just have liability your covered.

Oh then im wrong then, no we were in the exploder hit black ice and smacked the center concrete barricade.

Ahh yes didn't think about that.. I was thinking of him not having the title yet if it was still being financed.

Hmm this is going to be Interesting a lot of different things going on at one time. I would think that you want to have that title on your hand.. Especially if your considering selling the car as is the buyer probably would want the title. Parting out is a option but you need to have the time and space to do that. Also not having full coverage kind of throws things in a lope. At this point I'm not sure what to recommend I'm sure so more experience guys can chime in with some advice.

Dang man sorry to hear about the accident...but as everyone before me said, a car is replaceable!! and glad that you are able to tell the story. if you do end up buying the car back and parting it out, we can def talk about a price for that engine and trans. My trans is limping so im in need of a new one.

And yeah you def should still be covered by your insurance...even if its not full coverage, if you have underinsured/uninsured motorist ins then they will go after the at fault party.
