The Mazda3 Kim test drove was a 2.5i auto sport or some crap...car wasn't even CLOSE to 17K

He got the 2.0 skyactive motor M6. The touring model, it was only was $18k ish but after discounts and it being our 3rd mazda came out to $17k.

Not too bad, the one we were in was a fully loaded GT blahblah crap.

I'll be honest I'm more of a fan of the older ones like his Protege vs. the new 3's.

I'm surprised Chevrolet did this. Diesel is 13% more expensive (Average [www.eia.gov] ) than unleaded in the vast majority of the US. The cruise eco gets 39mpg. Which is 2.56 gallons/100 miles. The diesel engine will have to get 2.22 gallons/100mi to be cheaper to operate. Thats *45* miles per gallon. That doesn't count the initial higher purchase price, the higher maintenance, and higher repair costs.

i dont understand why you're still trying to top swap it when its always going to be slow and youd be better off with a badass set of wheels to cruise around on.

I'm not ripping out fenders or getting longer studs just to poke the wheel out more...it rubs enough on the 225/45/18's now. I don't plan on keeping this car long term, I've torn it up enough as it is. I looked at the Forgestar F14's for quite some time...considering blowing most of my returns on them and tires, but no thanks. 18"x10" with a +22-26 offset be enough poke for ya? I woulda stretched the crap out of these 225's.

Also, a basic top swap with exhaust and a tune will net 250~ WHP...more than that of your average 3.4" setup car with headers and a solid tune. Granted I'm down on the torque end, but my car weighs as much as the crap you last took, think in the area of 2800~ lbs. Also geared way shorter.

I'm beyond happy with the OEM look I've got. I'll be doing TC bumpers, roof lip, and getting my exhaust hung up a little higher. If anything after that, maybe a retrofit with red shrouds and black cases and a wingless trunk. It'll be reliable and a fun enough car to kick rocks in. Dats it. All it ever was; a glorified sh1t box.

in that case i wouldn't do anything to it then. i'd just drive it until you want to demod the few parts that are on it and get something newer..

Well, I picked up this today...

Gonna have my body guy fit it...since no one has done one, or makes one that I'm aware of. Think it'll look pretty subtle, as well as getting the trunk dewinged...

Should I wrap trunk in CF? yay or nay? This would just be a cover up for the holes that are awkward without filling them because I'm a cheapass.
