Worse MPG?

I just had a bunch of work done. Exhaust, replace resonator back with magnaflow mufflers. New intake gasket, Supercharger pulleys replaced, plugs, wires, sway bar, and more I can't remember. All stock, just new. Now my mileage is worse. Is it because I'm having more fun getting on the throttle?

Granted, I'm not happy about the mufflers. They have a serious drone in the 1700-2k range, but otherwise everything is just plain fun. Maybe I'll have them swapped out for something quieter and hope for the best.

If your driving it harder it will defeniatly use more fuel, mpg will drop, quite possibly like a rock, depending on how hard you drive.
As for the mufflers, put the stock ones back on.

Put a 30" glasspack where the resonator used to be and quit romping on your car. Do this and your noise and gas mileage problem will be fixed.

all the mufflers will have a bit of drone (aftermarket ones) but hey if u didnt want it loud, keep stock exhaust..
i dont mind the drone a bit. i like my car louder than stock.
i get terrible mpg because i have a GTP and im in the city. i dont even drive it hard and still get bad gas mileage thats a GTP for ya LOL.
Unless your on the highway alot

Keep the shifts under 3k preferably 2500 and you'll notice a increase in fuel econ. Trust me, i gained 4mpg by doing this. I know you feel like you putt (drive like a grandma) on the on ramps going (accelerating) this slow but your pocket book will thank you. Also when i'm trying to save money\fuel I drive 5 under the speed limit. I'm in no hurry to get home or to work. I still get there on time i just leave a bit earlier.

Resonators are there to keep the RESONANCE; ie the drone, out of the exhaust. They are straight thru and offer no restriction. There is never any need to delete a resonator. Now you know why.

Hmmm, resonate... interesting concept. I went back to the shop and they still had my old one in their metal bin. Much better now; still a bit of drone at the 2k range, but I went through a couple different cat-backs on my '03 Cobra before finding the perfect one. So I don't really care. Mileage still isn't where I want it. I seem to be pressing down on the go-pedal more often at the moment. But that's me; did the same with my past toys. Too bad it's not a stick.
