LOL mine are 10 yrs old shhh. One job I had, we did tires on this local fleet of half ton trucks with 235/75-15 Tiger Paws (OE) being replaced laft and right. That provided a steady stream of fodder for my desires. Right after its first wax job, I had a set on it-

You can have any color you want, as long as its black! Ha, Ford joke. Flash rather than sun I reckon. Stayed late building a door because no fuel pump job tonite lol. Its still Cyber Grey but we did the firewall black, small adaptation of plan. The bay will be black as well as a lot of the trim. Its this far along and I still can't really visualize it done. I guarantee it to be a head turner though. I bet from a distance you'll not make it as a Trans Am due to the low and reshaping. Can't wait to get a peek at the plan for hood bird treatment. While that happens, it will be getting interior done.
 
We did some put-together thrashing this week... hows this angle grab ya? I want grey bumpers and black trunk lock on mine ha ha.

 
I just hope the owner will actually drive it.

I'd drive that thing daily because if you had the money to build, you surely have the money to correct anything you wish later on.

FFDP thats the plan from day 1, its a driver-to-be. Guy actually wants to take the family out for burnouts with it, and maybe helmet up for some autocross flings. It may not shine on brick streets or rutted blacktop, or where the speed bumps are, but I bet it will shine in the curvys.

Scott, yeah thats the exhaust tip. Made from scratch like SO much of this car was. I feel the same way about dat azz. Just dayum. Real glad that a week or so of my time was allocated to just fitting up the rear end bolt-on parts. I'm mighty pleased with the result. Need to dig up a pic of a stock one for comparison. The degree of mods might blow you away side by side. The flares and spoiler have nice even gaps to the body with no seals hanging out, etc. Patience. One day there will be glamorous detail shots of tricked areas. The engine room is gonna be a stunner, very cool looking. I'm throttling the peeks FYI.

EHB we put a twin turbo Supra I6 in one of those, mostly a stock apperaing sleeper. They are cool lookin and hard to find clean but will take anything that can be stuffed in a Mustang. Theres a clean 2dr Falcon I'd love to screw a GTP subframe into for sale here. Probably cooler than the Corvair idea. I'm like you though... nice specimens deserve to keep their brand heritage at least until the powerplant is overly outdated like the 289.
 
Geezus I forgot GPF had a car porn thread! Sooooo many beautiful cars and so many left untouched yet! I don't know how you get any work done I'd just stand around and stare at them all day!
