• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Work junk, and junk... at work. By 'junk.

Eye poppin for real.....that paint is rich as all hell.
Isn't this the one you were doing the hood on??

We could use a bigger booth, lol. Its pretty tight with a bunch of parts in there with the body. It was cleaned up nice before the shooting started.

Scotty, I dig Formula hoods too. But this had to have something or there would be LS7 hanging out all over the place Rat Fink style.

Thanks, smoke and wow. I'm just a nutritious part of a complete breakfast... glad to be part of the crew.

Spazz, thank ye! Yep thats it. The nose will kick the tail's... tail? When it all comes together a definite Corvette influence will be apparent although subtle.

hey the boss just linked me to an article on last year's SEMA ride, check it out:

http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/1507-granddads-1941-ford-truck-might-embarrass-your-muscle-car/

Thats cool as hell, I'm about to first- read the article...

OK I see that I've said this pic has me all up in it, and the link just shows pipe+hole lol. Big pic of truck with water spots thats all it is.

End of the day today.. workin filler on the topside of that hood. The Chevy orange is just something I like to do anytime I pull apart a mock up having only matched up panel edges. Keeps me from destroying my gaps while working the face of the part, if I leave a little on the edge until very last.

Here are some crapola low light phone pics of the Bronco that had the "I'm so 80s" graphics and dark red over original brown. I did the strip n mud awhile back. Looks helluvalot better this way. Smaller tires in the works but these look cool. Better pics in future sun , I promise, boobs.

The 68 el Camino went home today, but I gave it hell trying to get some good pics first. I'll be back after I explore the camera's contents lol.

The things I would for and in that Bronco....hard to tell if that is a 302 or 351? Hard to tell how deep that distributor goes...302w?

Pretty sure that's a 302, but I think I spy a HO firing order so it might have been converted to roller cam at some point. Non HO is 1, 5, 4, 2, 6, 3, 7, 8 and HO/351w 1, 3, 7, 2, 6, 5, 4, 8. I think in the first pic I could see number 4's spark plug wire with 5 and 6 going over to the driver side before it. That second pic kinda looks like the distributor going into the block lower than the intake's mating surface, like a 351W. 351W just has a taller deck eight than the 302W. I dunno.

He's got a hydraulic brake booster, so who knows what he has done to it. He should put in a Saginaw power steering pump though.

Made me notice the exhaust out which I didn't see before.

Water spots look like dried exhaust vapor. There isn't any other water spots

I'll have to ask the boys for a run-down. We mostly just painted it and made a rollbar as far as I know. it might be soup of the day under that hood. You'll like it even more with the hood shut anyway its got one like the last two we did. The bright green one and the other red one same color.

I spliced a blind roll pan in there and made the lower bed sides part of it, note the lack of a seam. I also made pockets for the tails and installed / altered a pre-fab tag pocket, as you can see. Theres WAY more than meets the eye on that thing! But thats the idea, right?

Heres that piece I made the other day... wish it was body color but it was a last minute decision. Attaches with tape, looks better than whats under it!

OK heres more grey stuff lol. This el Camino is just... well I like it. You guys can describe it. I just wanted to show it with everything on and shined up to the hilt. Believe it or not, this build is for a grandma. Hope she keeps that speedometer left of noon, man! Watch out, she could be a threat ha ha. Study hard but don't hurt yerself! Personally, i don't care for the shifter but thats it.

Booba I forgot... yeah Ford firing orders number the cylinders in line rather than staggered don't they? I'm not anti-Ford so much as Ford ignorant lol. I refer you to Scotty's tracking number.

We had a wellIdunnowhahappen today, that I had to sand out on the firebird dash. Somewhere in the process of laying down black with flat clear, one of the coatings swelled the one underneath it. I knocked off the gummy failed paint and primed it for another shot tomorrow. After that, man that built up the (other than body panels, glass, chrome that I did) Camino will get the suspension back under the 'bird. He does good looking work. Poor ankle chop-off man be healing at home and I'm over there smoothing out whats left to paint. I'm hurrying but still running in emergency mode under some fairly heavy long-term fatigue and arm damage buildup. Need time off bad.

Thanks for the kind words, gents.

Yea, front to back on the passenger side then driver side front to back. I like Ford and Chevy, but f*ck Dodge. Always had bad luck with them.
