wont start

after my rocker install, i tried to start my car and it started for lke 5 seconds and then went from 1100 rpms to 0 rpms. then i tried again and nothing, it acts like it wants to start but just wont turn over. I checked wires, plugs, coil packs, grounds, everything. so what the FVCK is the problem, im very confused right now, and now everytime i try and turn it seems to smoke near the cross over pipe, i dont know what to do and what went wrong because the rocker install was easy and i did everything according to directions and it went smoothly but now wont start, any advice?

smoke near the cross over is probobly just burnoff from oil or fuel spillage. Try some starting fluid, Just a tiny squirt and see if starts or stumbles. if it doesnt stumble then you have a spark issue if it does then you have a fueling issue

Id adgree its probobly something as easy as crossed wires or injectors not being plugged in

a vacuum leak would still allow the car to start, it would just run like ****.
i do have a hose that i cant find where it goes too. it comes from the same spot the fuel lines come out to connect to the fuel rails, i figured itd go to the solenoid above the map sensor but it does, all those vac lines are plugged in and i cant seem to find this one, also where do i spray the starting fluid? would crossed injector wire harnesses do this? i dont believe its a fueling issue because i fowled all of my plugs so theres deffantly fuel being delivered. and i checked the spark and its just fine, really strong, almost shocked my buddy lol. so im going to check the injector wire harnesses but thats the only thing i could thing of that would be an issue.? i dont think its my starter, that would be just to big of a coincident

well i have a massive vac leak but i dont know where it goes. ill clean the MAF i heard it may be my battery not having enough volts to start it but it will still crank if thats the case

no idea wtf it goes to. not the map sensor or the evap sensor so what? i pretty much invaded austins engine bay and he doesnt have it

^thanks.

so after i put the battery on the charger i started it and it just cranked then made a backfire noise and smoke eased out of the throttle body.

That looks like an aftermarket hose to me, and with it running by the fuel lines I would venture to guess that the hard plastic line was cracked or otherwise broken at some point and someone replaced it with that... So if you have hose's plugged into the evap solenoid I would think you have a hose plugged in the evap that doesn't belong and goes somewhere else<<Just a guess) Sounds like you got spark and fuel from what you've checked and the rockers are pretty straight forward so I doubt you messed those up... Check the plug wire's? I mean to make sure they aren't crossed is all.

Is the vacuum line for the MAP sensor hooked up in the right place? I'm thinking that maybe you connected the vacuum line for the MAP sensor to the sensor above it and that line goes to the place the MAP sensor line is hooked up to.
