• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Wont Start - wtf

This is interesting a few times i stalled in the last week.
This happened when I would heat up tires from a stop.. I would punch them free and hold at 4K to let them burn a bit and when I let go car would stall.
I just assumed the idle was a touch low and when i let go it was dropping but after reading ur posts I am wondering if that is a symptom of my crank position sensor going bad? it never stalled at other times or had other symptoms only a few times where i punched it and then let go of thottle.

ok between breaking my foot :( and the rain I finalyl got some **** done and got the car to FIRE - it wont stay on though....
Starter fluid started it... It is a fueling issue...

I also got a code to pop although i dont know what it means
p1641 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit

thats my only code and of course car wont stay on.... coudl use some help it is Friday night and perhaps this is an easy fix???????

I took the ground on the head below the belt tensioner cleaned it and spliced a wire to reinforce the ground in case that was it and no luck...
I put a bulb ot the injector harness and it did not flicker.. so my injectors are not getting a pulse to fire and i am assuming there in lies my problem....

I jsut dont know how to tackle this problem :(

Start testing the wiring from the injectors back, you should then be able to isolate where the issue is.

Is the security light flashing and have you done a security relearn? Google the diagnostics code or go to gpona and look at the GM service manual. It should give you a step by step process for diagnosing the code.

i read that the could be just from cranking ignition too long and htititng low voltage dont know how true that is...

I really am lost when it comes to wires and testing them but thats waht i am gonna try jason.... do u have a good tool to do that?
I have a multimeter is that the right tool?
