Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

let me start off by saying my trannys been slipping at about 5000 rms so ive been driving it easy lately and recently it started slipping at lower rpms. then this morning i headed to advanced auto and after 5 minutes of it shifting fine it starts slipping at like 3000 so i let off like i usually do to get the tranny to engage again and get back on it easy and it just kept slipping so i pulled over and put it in park then in drive and gave it some gas and it just revved up. it wont move in any gear. i checked my fluid level and its overfilled from putting too much lucas in without thinking about it :th_doh: and it was time for a oil and filter change too. so im basically wondering, what broke and is it easy to fix or should i just get a new tranny?

you COULD get a replacement, but if you are like me and didnt want to take the chance of getting a crappy one, rebuild it. Going above and beyond what a tranny shop will rebuild it in terms of parts for $2500, i have $400 in parts. Including a new torque converter. Yes, you need the time to rebuild it, but if you grab an astg book, wont take you but maybe a week workin on it occasionally after you get home from work.

thats probly what im gonna do cuz i have a tranny with 200k on it and i want to rebuild it before i put it in my car...what are the main things i should replace?

open it up and make a list of the things that need replacin.

do you plan on runnin a bunch of mods, or are you stayin close to stock?

I took a handfull of componets down to the local cryo guy and had a bunch of parts cryogenitcally frozen to help reduce wear. $40 and well worth the security

ya pretty much close to stock, i just want to be able to floor it to first and not have to worry about it breaking..

a good refresh is in order. Talk to Dave (trannyman) and he will hook you up with what you need.
