• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Wont idle without gas being pressed.

Car: 1999 GTP: L26 top swap w/ Gen v on a stock pulley and a custom cam headers and a few other things.

I recently swapped cams and loaded a base tune and it would idle fine, just a bit noisy because i didn't tighten the rocker bolts down enough. It also started first try and didnt smoke. Then i thought, while ive got the engine partially apart again why not gen v swap. Now she refuses to stay running without the help of my foot. It cranks and tries to fire once out of every 6-7 times. I also may have screwed up my starter because now all i hear is a whirring noise when i press the start button. She also smoked a bit, like a light whitish smoke when i did have it running.

Edit:I did notice the gen v case is insanely close to the alt power bolt which may be causing issues. Im at work right now so scanning wont happen until late tonight early tomorrow.

Id like to get it running right so i can accept a friend's race challenge.

Everything is the same except for the PCV, it gets routed to the throttle body(that you drilled\tapped) or adapter plate (if it has PCV provisions). I personally used the Gen V evap solenoid with no problems, but I've read you can just cover the Gen V evap hole and use the factory solenoid\vacuum line if you wanted.

You'd have to REALLY over tighten them to do anything like that, and even then something would break. Check fuel pressure with KOEO and see if it drops.

^^^That's what I thought, either that or strip the heads. I heard those PRJ rocker bolts are supposedly really strong.
