The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
same except the tubing. either way i wouldnt buy it because boxes are for weird people that THINK it sucks in colder air that way. youre going for an intercooler. just save yourself some money and run an open cone. no joke.
well im running a 22.5 bend onto a 9 inch filter....so wont the box make my intake air colder? hasnt it been proved that the air is colder? wouldnt it help for now until im intercooled? or not at all....
the box (if sealed corectly) is ment to draw its air from the fenderwall and keep out engine heat. but at the same time if the box is not sealed corectly (bad fitment or whatnot) it will also hold in heat. its kind of a double wedged sward.
i say just make a fender wall intake with a roofing sheild to help hold the heat back.
i have that intake for a 97-03 model...if you wanna wait ill sell mine when i go intercooled in the next month. ill cut you a deal if you want. not to mention if you get the actual duct from zzp for the wizaird its like 50 alone. ill sell you everything but the cone. i liked it because its got a pcm tray built in. but then again i also waste money. it looks kinda cool though lol
well that kinda depends. if your sitting at a red light long enough (my open cone can see temps up to 130* while sitting still) and it starts to pull timing at 104* then it could effect performance if you decide to hit it off the line. that is if the wizair is completly sealed and working properly (there has been plenty of people to have ambient temps while stoped with a wizair)
but at the same time, i see ambient temps once crusing with my open cone and it hits harder when i get on it then the wizair ever did. another thing about it is the supercharger is not as loud because its in a box. thats half the coolness of having an intake right there.
get a faster update rate temp sensor from brian. that will get rid of your timing being pulled at stop lights because it will react faster to the cooler air once you start moving. also, if youre not a bum you could tune this out. just a thought.
true, you could tune it out, but not everybody has access to that. im just trying to show both sides of the fence. either way tho i dont really recemend it (the wizair) because if it is not sealed properly (mine was bad fitment from the time it came out of the box) then it works like a big oven.
