They apply... basically anbesol to the gums and roof to numb the surface. Then inject inside/outside of gums, then roof. Don't feel a darn thing. I was awake and went to the gym right after my last because it was sharkfighting night. No big.

I did the IV route...all I remember was the nurse asking me to count from 10, down to 1...I don't remember making it to 9.
Then it felt like I was waking up 1 minute later.
I had a hard time waking up from the anesthesia...I started having a panic attack.
But I'm glad I got it over with when I did so the pain eased up.

like i said unpleasant at best, aka it cant be a good thing....

the last tooth i had pulled with just Novocaine i was grabbing the DR.'s hand and removing it from my face, almost took the arm rest off the chair, and came damn close to knocking him the F out! i think i cleared his waiting room lol. all sorts of cursing and threats flying.

he wound up leaving a large chunk of tooth in my gums which months later after it was all healed up it started to push its way through the gum line, that was a pain, literally, so i had to rip it out of my gums, was about 1/2 long, and 3 1/8's wide, i was pissed all over again like i just had the tooth pulled again by the same ass.

DR.'s want payment at the time of service around here, needless to say i stiffed him for 1/2 the bill, F me up will ya. 2 hours or so in his friggin chair too. it really sucked to me that day.

aw man... im sorry to hear that. yeah, i keep having this intermittent pain/swelling of the gums between my last tooth and next to last. makes it hard to eat sometimes. but then it goes away and a dentist isn't needed

yeah i hear ya lol, that plans only exit plan is an extraction.

its when you first get that twang, you need to go see that evil f'er, then the pain in the long run is a lot less than the wait and see plan.

really? so im just making it worse by putting it off even if its a dormant whore hiding out in my gums??
Yes Brandon, you are running the chance of making it worse.
I was always told to get them taken out ASAP once they started to hurt.
Because if they start to grow in wrong, they can cause major issues and then you'll wish you never waited.

That's the thing, Danielle, I'm not sure if the swelling/tenderness was caused by the wisdoms or a cavity back there or what it is. At the current time its not bothering me so idk. Hate to go and have nothing to show and still pay to see the dentist...

Are there any Afdent Dental places around you?
They might offer cheap x-rays and what not.
Just an idea.
I know how it is to have never ending pain in the mouth area, its not my idea of a fun time.

My mom and dad didn't go to the dentist for probably 15-20 years and when they started going back, it was procedure after procedure of correcting everything that was broken, crowns, root canals and what not.
They say that your health issues often can start from dental issues, which I found very interesting.

if a tooth hurts when you bite on it, you have a cavity, unless its the sore gums in the back, but if its a tooth a way from the back, its dentist time.

and they always find something lol stuff that dont hurt yet can be found. thats why they say to go for a visit every 6 months.

Well, I had the gum problem a few weeks ago. And then if I eat somethign with caramel and it hits the top left second to last tooth. You would think I had been shot it's excruciating. But only caramel lol.

I haven't seen a dentist in years and years. Only an orthodontist. When I got my braces off he wanted me to see a dentist then. That was about 6 months ago lol
