Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Wisconsin Dells- May 17th & 18th 2014

Perma-Banned! JK LOL
It's that time of year again to begin planning for Wisconsin Dells.

*** What it is:
A car show with ~1,200 Classic cars. There are 2 main streets in Dells that people cruise up and down all weekend.

*** Where to stay:
Last year we stayed in Hotel Rome at Mt. Olympus. I strongly reccomend this hotel, because it's fair priced and on the main strip. The hotel was really nice and included passes to the little theme park nearby, which had several go kart tracks, some small roller coasters, etc. Apparently they added a "championship golf course" so golf is free with a hotel stay too...

I just checked (10/28) and 2 queen beds with a bunk for 4 people is $137.49 a night. The number of people is important for theme park passes, which are about $35 a day without a room. They take a 45% deposit up front for the room.

*** Here is the "official" Automotion schedule from the website:
All spectator parking is at the Tommy Bartlett Show lot, 560 Wisconsin Dells Parkway. Shuttle service sponsored by the Original Wisconsin Ducks® and Dells Boat Tours®. Schedule subject to change.

well, i guess i'm going.

any thoughts on staying somewhere else just for ****s? what if we got one of the "condo" things at the mt. olympus resort?

I don't care as long as it's not with those trashy people that we were around when we met Finnish Tommy.

Feel free to edit the first post as necessary bio, since you live closest and know what's up.

so long as i actually get to go to the car show and see the burnout contest this year then i think i'll be good to go..

the mt. olympus village rooms are a fair amount cheaper...

- 2 queens, 1 bunk bed: $117.49/night
- 3 queens (one private room), 2 bunk beds (one bunk in private room): $162.49/night
- 3 queens (one private room), 1 bunk bed: $219.99/night [don't know why this one is cheaper than 3/2..]

so if we just book super early and all stay in one room...we could get a nicer, bigger room...

i'm pretty sure ray would stay with us and i'm pretty sure ray's friend jamie and his girlfriend would, too if we invited them with us. just a thought for our little tight knit group of peoples.

FYI, for those of you that don't know us core group dudes, this isn't really a GP meet.

we're gonna hang out a little and do whatever, but we all kinda do our own thing for most of the time. it's a big ass car show that brings in everything from imports, to muscle, to a few exotics. even lifted diesel trucks are prevalent. so bring a friend with you if you come. for real.

i think there was 3 grand prixs together last year. me pepino and ray. For those who dont know what to expect i shall share some links

We have all the jokes.

All your other experiences shall be boring.

That is from the Welfare Commandments of HPT, #3.

Matt Palm will stay in his own room with his boyfriend all weekend again.

Someone should contact griptape so we can rent that gas station again.
