ok guys she is in the pod all sodered and wired up shes works great i grounded the bulb and the actual gauge together along with another ground under the carpet on the drivers side floor pan. anyways i tapped into the stereo for when it powers up so does the gauge =] great everything works =] i tested the bulb and everything at the battery all is good and it turns on red i just have 1 question what is the easiest and most accessable to tap into for the gauge illumination again i only want the gauges illuminaition to turn on when i switch the tails n headlights on. "i deleted my drls" anyways what would be the easiest to tap into ??? thanks i took the actually light swtich out but the wiring is way to tight to tap into correctly and successfully so any ideas?? thanks again guys =] :th_thumb-up: GTPSLEEPER WTF I WANNA BUY YOUR BOOST GAUGE =] lol

there is a grey wire for the radio lights. if you tapped there for power hen u can get the lights from it too. this only works when you turn on lights.

i dont believe so?? i have 2 greys i believe and there for a speaker? i did thing so. but there must be a illunmination to tap into ill check it out tomarrow =] thanks for the heads up any other ideas aguys?

IRRC orange should be the illumination for your deck. Also the foglight one isn't bad either. Just grab a DMM and test to make sure you've got the correct wire (+~11V at full illumination.)

Hahaha funny sotry guys and yes the orange was my illumination =] thanks but your info was to late you lose.... Jk haha thanks for the try though and yeah guys funny story..... Im all good shes great lights up nice and red gauge is perfect then i throw dash and radar detectr back in turn car off and lights off "little did i know i hit the interior light dimmer switch to the left all the way im like wtf i was pissed off cuz the gauge on my pod was real dim then so im like ughhhh started to rip it all apart again.... Then it hit me............. Dimmer haha lesson learned all is well =]

I once tapped into the rear plate lights . Another time, I used the wiring going to the center console to illuminate the transmission stick. You just need to test which wire it is. But I think it's safer to tap into the rear lights since there's not risk of a fuse blowing or a computer chip or anything involved.

Any lighting should and must be fused :\

Any electrical circuits for that matter. If they're not, you're in for a lot of fun when something goes wrong. :th_thumbsup-wink:

ghetto but ok lol mine is nice and neat muuuhahaha but if it works run with it =] and yeah duh everything has to be fused armed......

I did fuse it :th_winking: thanks for the advice anyway
I was just stating that in case something goes wrong in any way it's safer to tap into bulbs instead of wires going to chips of computers.
