Wiring a toggle switch

I picked this up thinking I could make it into a toggle switch, I wanted something factory looking on the dash for my demon eyes to toggle on and off... It's out of 2004 impala, how would I go about wiring for a toggle... It has 4 wires out the back of it... Thanks!

It should work fine. Are you asking which color wires from the car to splice, or just a switch like that in general? It's a four pole toggle with illumination. Uhh..the last one I wired had opposite poles. It kinda looked like this.

I wired one common ground. The power for the lights get put on the (+) sides, then both the device and light on the switch received power when the switch was closed (on). That's how I got mine to work, anyway. No idea if that's the "right" way, lol.

I went out and looked at it. It's a switch from Radio Shack, iirc.

A continuity tester on the switch will help figure out what the wires are.

Edit: Mine's illuminated all the time in the garage. I don't think you'll need a jumper in there just for the lights.
