Wires coming out of dash blew my radio fuse

Hello everyone,
This is my first post in the technical area so please bare with me and feel free to give me any advise on how the forum operates if I'm doing something wrong. I bought a 01' Grand Prix 3.8 SC a while back. There are two wires sticking out above the dash just rear of the blinking red light on the dash. One day I decided to fiddle with them. When they touched each other my radio quit working which ended up being the radio fuse blown. I have no idea what they do or why they are there. One is black and one is black with a stripe (white or light gray - I cant tell). Has anyone had this issue or know what the wires are for? I will say that my display where the little car is supposed to be is out but I think that's just burnt out lights. Thank you!

there are a couple things in that little panel. one is the red LED for security system. the other is a sun sensor for A/C load and DRL / auto headlights. the sun sensor is connected to the BCM so there's no fuse to short there.

Thanks for the reply! So maybe someone disabled the security system possibly? I don't know much about those but it does honk when I lock it and if I press the horn button on the FOB it goes off but that's probably a separate thing. Also, the high fans don't come on so maybe that has to do with the A/C load you mentioned?
