Wiper Blades

rain x lattitude.. anyone have recommendations as far as window treatment for winter time ? like deicer?

After all the rave reviews of the bosch wipers I'm going to have to pick up a set.

Not trying to threadjack but whats wrong with a fram filter? I have only ever used Frams and just recently started trying out the Purolator synthetic filters. Never heard of anyone having a fram problem

Apparently everyone on the Internet in some way has had a problem with fram filters. LOL i have no beef with them just like WIX better.

I agree with the wipers, gonna have to give em a shot too.

Seriously rain x blades suck after a few months. Bosch - something always buggers up and it leaves streaks
I tried the tri-co onyx last year and they still work after this last summer. So not too bad

Im using rain x latitude that I bought at home depot for 13.50. That's cheaper Than WalMart and amazon price. Im not sure how they hold up to snow but they wipe pretty well in the rain. Nice thick blade.

I just use the regular rain-x ones since I've had no issues. I will probably buy genuine Honda re-fills tho lol cause when working at the dealer, these blades were really friggin good lol

Bought a pair of the Bosch Icons and have been using them for a week. Man are these things awesome! snow, ice, slush.. you name it these things handle it.

No squeaking noise either. just a clear view of the road. Go try em out Russ. I'll never go back!

I have bought the Rain-X Latitude and Bosch Icon blades with no problems with streaking. Currently have a set of Rain-X blades which have lasted for the past 5 years with no streaking.
I apply Rain-X glass treatment/water repellent to all windows. Before applying the Rain-X, I use a glass cleaning clay bar made by Clay Magic (which claims their clay bar is specifically designed for glass). I have noticed this makes a huge difference in visibility. Google "clay bars for windows".
Consider this: Be careful in cold weather when there is ice and snow on your windshield. If you don't remove all the ice and snow completely, and you attempt to run your wipers to clear the windshield, you could damage your expensive wiper blades (average cost is over $20 a piece)
I make sure to warm the windshield and scrape all ice/snow off before turning on the wipers. That could be the reason why the current wiper blades on the GP have lasted so long.
One note: Applying Rain-X makes ice and snow removal much easier for all windows.

I just go with the cheapest blades at Wal-Mart and replace twice a year. Figure that cheap fresh rubber is better than year-old, dry-rotted, "advanced" rubber.
