Winter tires size, will it fit?

Looking at some used almost brand new winter tires for my grand Prix 2008 base. However the owner of the tires had them on a grand Prix 2006 but according to some researching I don't think they will fit. Will tire size 225/50/R17 94T fit on a 2008 GP base. Also can one explain what is 94T. Thanks

i got a pair of them, they work damn good in snow, suck in rain bad, spin fest, and even on cold dry roads they spin easy. last thing you want is to spin them or they wear out fast, they are soft rubber.

but in the snow they just work great.

What you guys think about the tread 8/32 and 9/32 and price, is it worth it.

For most companies that I know of, 7/32 is out of a warranty if you can't provide mileage but I'm not sure what depth is new. Anything under 7/32 is prorated IF they will warranty. Imo, not to bad.

10/32 is new so they are more then half good still. if you dont beat to death and only run them for a few months during winter, you'll get years out of them.

i run the snows for 2 months here.

Blizzaks and other snow tires normally come with 12-14/32nd's because they are a softer rubber and made for snow. They know they won't last very long. Figure once you are past 5-6/32nd they aren't going to be as good, they will still work fine but will have less traction.

Is this more about what will fit OP's car, or a long-lasting winter tire?

It sounds stupid, but when I first looked for tires, I found that BFG M/T's will fit under it on 16's. I mean, you're talkin' $150/tire (plus a rim) for used Blizzaks. For how much mix we get here in Minnesota, durability wins over Blizzaks. Just my .02

$500 for those tires and rims is a fair price. Get 'em and move on.

FYI, I bought 4 Uniroyal snows last year, 9-10/32, $200; Blizzak's are a much better tire.

i wont put them on till i see a forecast for real snow in the near future, last year they went on in Jan and came off by the end of February. thats the only months i get real snow here any more.
