Windshield washer, Passenger window, and p0401 p0121 codes.

Windshield washer does not work. I push the tab and nothing happens. No noise. No spray. Washer fluid reservoir is full.

Passenger window works just fine most of the time. On very rare occasions it just doesn't work at all. The next time I drive it works again.

p0401 Insufficient EGR Flow. The obvious thing is that the EGR is bad...but I've read here that often this code is given if MAP sensor is bad.

P0121 Throttle Position Sensor. So, just replace the TPS, or should I try something else first?

Extra symptoms:
Boost indicator on DIC only goes about half boost where it once went full.

last night the car died twice slowly taking off from idol in the drive-thru.

What say you?

Washer pump is probably toast. Does the passenger window work on the pass. side and not always on the drivers side? Could just be a dirty drivers side switch.

If you read up on what this code, you'll understand that it might have nothing to do with the EGR. Hence why you found posts (likely from me) suggesting a bad MAP sensor. See... here's how this works. The pcm tells the egr to open and then it watches for a pressure change. When it doesn't see a pressure change..it says "YO!!!! I'm not seeing the flow from the EGR opening". It's a bad assumption that the EGR is bad because it's name is in the code title.

Washer.. test for power and ground at the pump.

TPS.. if you have a real time scanner..watch throttle %

Boost.. yeah..car is pissy, likely TPS pissy

Stalling.. you did say you have a TPS issue, right?

Also, as a side note regarding the washer pump. If it is determined the pump needs replaced, it is very easy to pull the passenger side headlight assembly and go through there. If I can get my gorilla sized arms into it.....anyone can.

I'm attempting to replace the TPS. It looked simple enough, but I can't get to the lower screw because the upper radiator hose connection is in the way. How should I deal with this?

Ok, through trial and error, I got the TPS replaced. The thing shifts correctly, goes fast, and does not stall now. Still, there are no bars showing on the boost indicator on the DIC. Is this a MAP sensor problem?

did you ever figure out why it was only showing half boost? I have an engine code P0401 and I am only getting 4-5 lbs of boost, before I was getting 9-10.
