Windows Phone

I switched from a Galaxy S3 to a Nokia Lumia 1520. From Android to Windows has been a huge leap! Android seems like a half-assed operating system compared to windows. Everything just looks better imo. And the camera is amazing.... Probably the number one reason I chose this phone.
So is anyone else have a Windows phone?

I was carrying an ATIV S Neo for a little bit. some super cool things, but a missing a lot as well. went back to my htc one. Neo is a paperweight ATM.

I haven't used any Windows phones yet, but I'm not too impressed with the sub $500 Windows RT tablets we have at work. You can't install regular PC apps on them and I'd assume it's the same story with Windows phones.

Speaking just to the OS side of things, I see no clear reason to switch (from Android anyway) unless maybe it's for better business integration. If you like the UI, Launcher 8 Pro on the Play store gives you that near-identically. MS Office is free now too, without a subscription.

The phone itself looks pretty sweet though, and I'm a little jealous of that camera. The screen is just too big for me though. I need something I can fit in my pocket easily/comfortably. Even my S3 can be a struggle depending on which pants I'm wearing. If I were to go with a Windows phone, it would probably be the Lumia 1020.

I love my S3 though. It does everything I need it to with minimal fuss. When I need PC capability, I use TeamViewer to connect to my home PC and share any files I may need via Dropbox or Google Drive. It works pretty well.

You wouldn't pay me to switch to a Windows phone. I know many people who went with them, and ended up changing phones within 6 months.

Aww yeah, I came from and Android Moto Droid Razr. I couldn't wait to switch. I got a Nokia Lumia Icon. I couldn't wait to switch, lagdroid had to go. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Android has too many background tasks going on which eventually bogged my device down. One thing I do miss is my Torque app, I liked monitoring on my phone, but I have an Android tablet, that's sloooooowww. too much you know what..... apps! It was a huge difference, mainly for me was no notification bar. I installed 8.1 Developer Preview and it's awesome, if you don't have it yet, it'll be a great addition. I also like how the phone reads your text through the car, I have bluetooth in my car. And we're getting Cortana, which is MS's voice assistant, or personal assistant.
