window wont roll up!

Hey all and thanks for looking.im in ned for some urgent help.my driver side window swith stoppedrolling the driver side window up. it will roll down though. i was driving home and i tied rolling the window down but it wasntoing then it snapped and now it wont roll back up. as it is cold here in south dakota i nd it to go back up. any ideas? inthe meen time can i do anything with the connector tohave it go back up? Thanks!!
 


You said it snapped so that's what made me think that the cable snapped on the reg. Pull the door panel and look.
 


Just to get it back up, you can pull the door panel and reverse the 2 wires that attached to the window motor. Now it should work in reverse, so when you press the "down" on your door switch the window should go up. Then just disconnect the motor until you can get a new switch.
 
Thanks! I actually just pulled the connector from the switch and used to jump the brown to black wire and thedark blue to the yellow.
 
Mine is doing that but on the passenger side! It will go down but not up with either switch. I took off the door panel and switched the polairty of the wires and it went up fine! Is it the passenger side switch or could it be the main drivers side ? Is there a way to check so I don't have to buy a passenger AND driver's side switch, because electrical parts are non-refundable... I do have a sedan

If neither work it's probably your master switch. You could go to a junkyard and swap them out if they let you and see if it works then.
