So long story short my window got caught on the rubber seal going up the other day. Istead of me stopping to look at the issue I tried to force it. Well A pop/crack somthing broke. It went up and down fine for a few days now it wont go down but has all the power to try and go back up. ANy guesses on what my dumbass broke?

Window regulator. Either snapped a cable or stripped the plastic gear in the regulator.

Is this a easy fix? I know pop the panel off which I suck at for some reason but easy access after that? Ive added power windows to a few cars that came with crank so Ive got decent knowledge on them just everu car is different. Thanks tho. It popped while trying to go up not down and now it wont go down but has all the power to go up. Still sucks

i haven't done one in my regal yet, but all the ones i have done, you just need to look for the bolts, sometimes they have a hole cut in the inside door skin to get to the bolts, pull the 4 bolts, slide the old one out, put new one in its place, its kinda hard to mess one up, its a pretty straight forward job to do.

its a 30 minute job if its your first time out.

Sound like the regulator to you too? Im not sure what the hell I broke. It caught on the rubber track and I tried to force it. Has all the want to go up and will but will only go down quarter of a inch.

It's the window regulator. The ones in the GP's are ****. I've replaced 4 in mine.

If you've never done it before, it may take an hour. For me - 15 min. It's easy - you need torx bits to unscrew the door panel.

Yea I just put to much force on it trying to roll it up since it caught on the rubber trim so that resistance must have snapped somthing. Im just going to wait till summer since its up anyway lol.
Nothing special about these door clips right because I know all my 13 yearold ones will break.

The dlips that hold my panel on are 1/2 shot. The screws behind the handle do the majority of the work.

I know my driver's side front and rear panels have tons of epoxy in them in a futile attempt to fix their many cracks.

The interiors in these cars is laughably bad.

Yea I just took mine off for kicks since I was out there freezing anyway. Almost all my clips are bad but I was able to reset it a little better. So this regulator. Is this somthing I can swing buying used from Morad? I know Rock has them for around $60 shipped. Dont you hate when you gotta spend money because you just did somthing stupid on your car

Going used is up to you. Personally for the hassle and time involved, I'd go new. Who wants to tear the door panel off again in 2 weeks when the used one breaks, lol... Screw that.

But if on a tight budget then Morad or a local JY.

Check around on Ebay for regulators. Might score one cheaper than the $60 at RockAuto.

I just went to the upullit only regal or centry was already regfulator less. I can get one from Rock new for 40 shipped, Morad used 45 shipped. Im just going to order one somtime before spring. Right now Im on my squeeky dash I cant stand. To make **** better I hit the passanger side dash last night pissed at it and broke the glue seal so now the thing squeeks more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
