Window trim removal?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the window trim that's on the outside of the doors on my 2000 grand prix gtp coupe? The car is black and it's been painted so the trim looks dull. I called the dealership and they want $100 a side does anyone have any trim moldings for a 2 door 2000 gtp?

the trim at the bottom of the window outside of the car, for the front loosen or remove the side view mirror, then open the door and inside the handle side you pull the cap off the trim, then take the screw out. pull back a bit, then lift it up and pull it the rest of the way off.

if you have back doors the cap is on the hinge side irrc one screw same deal pull back, lift it off.

Okay thank you.

I also have bottom window trim that is dull and faded. I have tried everything to restore the trim, but nothing has worked. Has anyone ever painted these trim pieces?

i have, took em off cut scraped sanded the cracked up plastic crap off. people were bleeding from them.

prime paint, clear wet sand buff. looked good for a few years, but the ice scrapper chipped them in a few places.
