I have a 2 door black grand prix with dark interior and plan on getting tint some time this spring or summer i really want 20% percent but am worried about me harassed by cops and i feel like 35% is a waste of tint i could be wrong though I live in Ohio
 


Dont drive like a ass they wont pull you over. Most cops are more worried about actual saftey hazards like speeding
 
yay another ohioan! A, join the ohio wbody cartel on facebook. 2, the state troopers are usually all you have to worry about...a few years ago i would get pulled over every few months but as of latley they have been leaving me alone. and D, go at least 20% if i were to do it all over from scratch i would do 15% in the front and 20% in the back, the light comming in from the windshield makes the front windows look a little lighter on a coupe...idk maybe im just picky
 


I have 35 on my car and it is not bad, keeps the sun out good enough where it doesn't fade the interior. If you are looking for just looks and not concerned about seeing out of the car good, go lower. My old car in Florida, I can't remember what I had but your couldn't see out of it at night which made for dangerous driving

Op, since you have a black car, I feel like darker cars dont stick out as bad as a lighter car. My last gp was black and I had 15% on it (va legal is 50%) and I never got pulled for it.

It really depends on where you live. My last tint ticket I was sitting at a red light when he spotted me, then pulled me over as soon as I went through the intersection. Then again, my ranger is silver and i was metered at 3%
 
what's wrong with 35%? dark enough to actually look like tint and light enough to actually see.

and besides, you don't do 20% if you're going dark. you have two choices: 15% or 5%.

I have 35% and absolutely hate it! I plan to have mine redone once I return from deployment...darker!
 
well, i'm not 18 anymore. i haven't had tint on my car since i bought it in 2009. wear sunglasses and stop smoking pot while you're driving around.

i don't have to worry about people having to break my window to figure out there isn't anything to steal anymore.

This. I've had 5% all around for the last 4 years or so no tickets for it. Don't drive like a dick and you shouldn't have to worry about a ticket.

ive got 2% all the way around love it so nice some one could try to be an ass and have there brights on i dont even notice cause the back windows so dark lol
 
Guess I'm going 20% and not driving like a dick the only time I see state troopers are in early morning on the way to school I feel like I'd regret 35%

just google it. ive got limo tint(2%) never had a problem till the day i was pulled over for doing 28 over so unless ur being a dumb ass cops could care less cause its a fix me ticket so they dont **** with it unless theve got you for something else. also my car stays so cool in the summer time with my tint drivngs a little bit of a pain some times but hey roll the window down and its good. just google whats legal in ohio

btw never took tint off just went in and said i did they said okay and that was it
 
I have 5% all around and tinted tails. And in jersey your not allowed to have any tint at all on the front windows. Unless you piss tthem off I.e. speeding, they prob won't bother you!
 
50% windshield, 15% side's, 5% rear. I'll snap some pictures from the inside when I leave for work and post them up if I get a slow spot in today.
