alright guys, so im thinkinf for my next mod i get my windows tinted, now i live in illinois and the law says no lower then 35% all the way around. i have a blue green 2005 grand prix, would 35% look alright or should i run the chance of getting pulled over and get 20%?
 


Im a fan of my 20%. My legal limit is 50% here and (ive only had it a week or so) Ive passed TONS of police and they dont even look twice
 
I live in illinois and just got mine tinted monday at 35%, I honestly would love to have it darker but I the town I live in happens to have one of the tint testing things so I didnt want to risk it. I would say go to your local police station and ask what towns around you have them. I would have gone 20% but lots of tickets have been given out around me
 
anything higher then 35% in my opinion isnt worth it, barley makes a difference, 15% or 20% will suit u nicely
 


My friend got limo tint which is 5% visibility, and he loves it, but at night he says it's awful, especially cause we have lots of motorcycles. But yeah dude I agree with either 35 or 20%
 
i havent heard much about anyone getting tickets around here, my friend has like 3% and never gotten a ticket
 
im running 35 up front, and 20 the on the rears.

at night the 20 is kinda dark but doable, but add rain and the 35% up front is still hard to out of.

jersey allows what ever you want on the back windows, but the fronts are to remain factory. so far been stopped 2 times, got one ticket.

my friend had a black Tahoe with 5% all around even the windshield, hes a car dealer so he didnt really have to drive it at night

i have 15% all around on mine i think it looks good
 


i did 5% all around and 50% on my front windshield and love it. you can hardly see anything inside at day light through the front. I live in Cali so cops are a pita but i dont like people looking insde my car. heres a pic from the top view with the sun still out. made my car look a lot better.

Yeah tint really made it stand out and look a lot nicer i know its illegal but ill rather take a ticket anytime then someone stealing something out my car or messing it up. Had ppl trying to break into my silver gp many times luckily they never got in and trust me the feeling sucks. especially on a car you really enjoy.

IMO i wouldn't go any higher then 20% above that i wouldn't bother, usually at 20% they don't bother much i have that on my silver gp 7yrs and no ticket on it.
 
with tint they have to break the window to figure out there is nothing to steal but change.

without tint they can see there is nothing to steal. just sayin.
 
True curious thieves but I guess if I keep it sleeper outside. Meaning no rims who's gonna wanna break Into a 4 door grad prix that just has dark tint and no huge rims and such.
 


still cant decide betweene 20% and 35% lol i think 35 might be a little light but i also dont know if its worth a ticket
