Window Tiniting

on my first car i went 20% in the front, and 5% in the back. i pulled over a lot in that car. by the back being so dark, it made the front look a lot darker than it actually was.

my gp had 20% all around, and i had zero issues with the police.

Sure, its sitting on a trailer, that would be a sweet pic. I had a really cool pic that I was going to take for the calendar, backed up by our old barn. It would have been sweet looking. But I didn't make it home in time to do that.

yea I think that 15 would be awful dark on the front windows, I had 20 on my pickup for a while, and got pulled over alot.

Honestly, I think going 25% all the way around would be just fine. Especially with the color of your car being what it is.

I had 20% all around on my GP for 5 months. Never got hasseled, I thought it was perfect darkness, but best buy did a horrible job tinting.

i had 15% all around and it was not a problem seeing out of the car at night. sometimes you had to lean forward and look out the windshield for turning, but this was only when you were WAY out in bum**** where there are no street lights anywhere.

also, if it makes a difference here is what i had done:

- 15% all around, sides and back
- 5% sunroof and windshield strip

this was all llumar film in black. back a good 4-5 years ago when people still had money this cost me $270 out the door for them to remove the old, purple tint and redo it. i paid for a legit company to do it and do it right. i NEVER had a problem with any of it and it looked perfect 3 years later when i sold the car.

this is making me want to tint my scoob...

i know i want to, but its nice to know that anyone walking by can look in my window and see i have nothing to steal. when i had my prix they broke my windows to find that out. i then had to not only replace a window, but get it retinted.

Then don't get a really dark tint so people can still kinda see inside your car.

Yes, really dark tint looks awesome, but if your worried about people breaking your windows to see what's inside, then it's not worth having it really dark.

light tint is the devil. not only does it defeat the purpose of having it, it looks stupid as well.

Well I didn't mean go 50% or whatever. Go like 35% or something around there. People can see inside your car with 35% tint and it will still look nice.

Move to ND.... much safer :th_nanana:

I have 18%, its sad, I wanted 5, they wont do it anymore because NYS is gay and anti-tint. I'm getting a 5% eyebrow when they redo my DS window monday (started to peel after 3 days...been in the single digits all week long...can't dry well)
