Will this paint work for more then just my back bumper?

I'm gonna use it to fix the paint on my back bumper, but i also wanna paint the "PONTIAC" under the bumper, and my engine cover. Think i can do it all with this?

With one can!? Absolutely not.

And it's going to be extremely difficult to get good coverage and layering with a rattle can. Save that can for the engine cover, send the bumper cover to a body shop.
 
I dont think that paint would take the heat from the engine, but I could be wrong.


And you will have a hard time getting that paint to lay well, and blend, but if you take your time, and feather it well, you could do it.
Just take your time, and do lots and lots of prep work, and use a tack cloth between each coat.
 
The engine cover doesn't get nearly hot enough to effect paint from that rattle can. Since it's white though, you may get yellowing over time, in the engine compartment that is.
 
No matter what it says it is not a "Perfect Match" Paint that comes in rattle cans is never going to match a factory paint job. If you paint a large area with that it will be noticable.

Painting little spots will be even more noticable. You're going to have one white on a large portion of the bumper, and little spots of a different white any place you use that.

He might be able to take some rubbing compound and try to blend the two different paints together but it all depends on how big the spots are.

ELL OH ELL.

I have been around paint and body stuff for about 25 years. My dad did it all the time on the side and I was his help. My brother worked for a place to mixed and sold automotive paint as well. They even custom mixed the aerosols using VINs and paint codes. One of the things they discovered EVERY time was that coming out of an aerosol it never matched. They even started telling customers that it was not going to match.
