• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Will this be a good setup?

Nick, I don't take too kindly to name calling here. And I'm being for cereal, I kept dead even with this guy on two runs, and a nose or so on him the other run

Said GTP might have been knocking? Tired transmission? Crappy long gears...driver mod, etc.

Mine runs with ported but it will set off the p0171 code everytime unless i adjust my maf table

P0171 is a vacuum leak, my piont somewhat proven. Enjoying the crappy MPG's? I know I was with a P0171.

^ same here although idk if I have any codes.

How do you not know if you have any codes?

My check engine light is dead, i know that for sure.I got scanned for codes a few months ago it was just 2 that i already knew of.But i gotta check again asap wanna know if anything is wrong.

Yea i know just havent got around to doing that.Does that involve me ulling apart the dash? It seems like it and thats why i havent really did this yet.

Like other people have said a ported throttle body would be a good option. You could also get a ported rear manifold from ZZP and a ceramic coated crossover. You may want to get a larger exhaust although the stock exhaust should be fine for the current mods. You could always get a GT2 cam rather than a GT1 unless you dont have money to get a tune. I believe a dyno tune from ZZP is only about $150

Why is a ported TB a good option?

It does nothing for gains really.

Ceramic coated crossover is a waste of money, its a 3800...the motor is going to get stupid hot regardless, and the rear manifold is the LEAST of the 3800's bad exhaust issues...see U-BEND, FRONT MANIFOLD CASTING, DOWNPIPE.

Larger exhaust piping is also a waste because the factory catback is good for 300+ FWHP before it becomes a flow restriction. If you want a different noise, change the mufflers and tips. Like I stated before, the GT1 and GT2 are nearly identical...also, get a custom in car tune...they are better than ANY canned tune.

i thought P0171 is System Too Lean (Bank 1) (too much oxygen in the exhaust)

anyways i adjusted my maf tables and the code went away and hasnt come back since. i havent notice the worse mpgs since it doesnt take me long to wherever i need to go
