Will SLP headers & cat pass Illinois emissions?

Hello everyone! I have a 2003 Grand Prix & I'm currently getting the engine rebuilt. I want to upgrade to a brand new SLP header & cat kit now that I have the chance. Most answers on this emissions question seems to point the computer and not the headers themselves in the ability to pass the emissions test. I've heard some muffler shops say it should pass, but I'm looking for anyone who actually knows firsthand for sure. I'd hate to drop a $1000 on parts & then I can't drive my ride. Thanks!
 


I have that combination and have had no problems passing emissions testing in Georgia for 11 years. But they only do a visual for the cat and OBDII readings. The headers are approved for emissions in most states maybe even Calif:cool: You should not have any trouble.
 
It should pass. It's a little harder out here in california. They do a visual and want to see the CARB number on everything.
 


yeah in Illinois they dont look under the car for a cat they just hook up the scanner and let it do its thang.
