Will not start after replcacing fuel rail and injectors



what about spraying starting fluid int he intake? try that yet?

somethings missing, either fuel or spark. crank it a few times, then pull a spark plug, see if its wet or dry .

Alright I will since this started I replaced the spark plugs any tips on getting the rear ones out again hands are healing from all the cuts lol and yea I tried spraying starter fluid in intake same thing imma replace the old injectors that still work marked the 2 that were faulty and see if it'll start after that first
 
pull a front easy plug, put it back int he spark plug wire then ground it on some metal and crack the engine, looking for the plug to spark

you could also pull and set the plug wire a inch over the coil hole, then crank it, looking for a large blue spark to jump when you crank it.

back plugs aint so bad, unless you cracked all 3 installing them. you using a real plug socket with foam inside it?

Didn't see anything back on the ICM connector either.

Nothing against you dude and please take this constructively.. this car should have been running 3 pages ago. 3800's are about the easiest cars out there to work on. They run like no other. I went to start one that hadn't moved from a garage for over 7 years. I took a battery, 13mm and 8mm. That's all I brought. It fired up on about 2.5 cylinders. Kept it running with some throttle, then eased it up and down a few times.. Poof the remaining injectors cleared and it purred. 7 year old gas and oil. Get to it and if you need to write a list.. do so. Whatever helps you concentrate.

Also.. the security light does not blink like crazy, it always has the same speed to it. It will keep blinking if you have a fault. I doubt that's the issue... what year is the car? Anything prior to 04, automatically primes the fuel pump and sprays a little fuel into the intake to start the engine when you turn the key to on.

Wait what's that? I just put that new key and ignition lock cylinder last owner lists keys so had to start with screwdriver before Ik sketchy lol

Does the security light on the gauge cluster flash when you turn the key on? If the pass lock sensor failed then the security light will blink for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the light should shut off and you could try to start it. I had this issue once and I wasted time replacing my fuel filter and pump.

thats a security learn, theres no reason in for that to happen, unless he changed the pcm, and even then it would not crank. the key is 100% dead when you need a security learn. his cranks all the time. just dont fire up.

Hey man. While I understand where bill is coming from, I can also sympathise with where you're at, and there's noting wrong with that period.

6 years ago, I didn't even know how to change my oil, now I've rebuilt several engines and transmissions and fixed just about everything on my car that I bought for $200. That's not to toot my own horn, there's still plenty I don't know, I'm saying this to remind everyone that we all started somewhere.

If I was frustrated at you I wouldn't be responding, and shame on me. I think we lose track of helping those in need. You're trying, and in my book, that's enough. (Plus ya know, you've got a fuel rail and alternator from me so I feel a bit responsible! Haha)

Just keep working at it and posting! I know I'll keep trying till it's fixed! :)
 
I went out to start my car one day for work and it wouldnt fire, it just kept cranking. Once I found out it was the pass lock and I waited the 10 minutes it fired right up. And I never had it happen again after that. I hadnt done any work on the car recently either. Pass lock can and will cause a crank/no start condition if it acts up...

Whoa... you aren't wasting our time. I mean.. if you have trouble concentrating, write a list and check the items off. The suggestions are mostly spot on for diagnosing and getting you back on the road. Try out the various items/tests and let's get it running again. I'm fairly sure it's something simple that you not being an expert on these cars (yet) are possibly overlooking.

Get to it.. we need to know if you have wet spark plugs, no spark etc.

okay lol yea ive always loved cars but never had that dad figure so I never got to do anything with cars till about a year ago when I bought my fiero and rebuilt the motor and pulled it by myself
