Why is the time on the forum not correct?

I live in the central time zone, which is -6 hours behind. I had to select mountain time which is -7 hours behind to get the correct time. When I had central time selected it said "All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:21 PM". I then switched to the Mountain time zone setting and it now says "All times are GMT -6. The time now is 11:21 AM. I changed the setting of the day light savings time but that didn't help.

Hey, this post might need to be in the forums/bugs section.. Can someone move it?

These are the settings I have mine on, and I am in the Central time zone..

Hope this helps..

Hey Andrew...

Check it out now......I changed you to central time and set DST to automatic as well as turned off currently in DST and it looks on my end to be good.

Thats cause Andrew is in the weird part of ND that is Mountain time not central, hence why it is an hour fast. Just accept it Andrew you live in the dumb time zone area.

haha.....Andrew I think I found the problem....check your time now....If automatic DST is set AND currently in DST is set, I think it will drop an hour for automatic and drop another hour for currently in DST, resulting in your mountain time showing.

I have changed your settings to the same settings I have as far as time, and mine is fine at -6 GMT

Nope still not right . It is no big deal if it is off, so you don't have to keep trying to fix if you don't want to. Thanks though.

Hey Andrew,

I still have not forgot about you.....I have done some checking and I think it may be a setting on your computer. If I set your settings the same way as my settings it shows the correct time, however as soon as you login, it changes your settings. Check your time on your PC and see if DST is set to automatic, and the time zone is set to central time.

Thanks
