The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Probably because you are following the instructions from the headers or those of guys that fought their way through once or twice. I've never really had an issue, but don't follow instructions well. :th_laugh-lol3:
Here's the way I do it, hopefully it helps out. Remove the stock exhaust manis. If you must, pull the EGR stand off the head, typically I leave it on. Bring your rear header in place and start one or two bolts to hold it with the gasket in place. Now it should have tons of room from the EGR tube and allow you to reconnect tha tube. Now install the rest of the rear bolts and tighten it all down to the rear head. Bring in the crossover (slip on headers) and get the front header into the crossover and started to be bolted to the head. As you slowly tighten the front bolts, stop and tap on the front to crossover connection with a rubber mallet. This helps everything seat itself together. Once your front is tightened clamp things down and you should be all set. In the case of togs, put your crossover on and you should be set. Almost all instructions will tell you to assemble everything loosely. The guys that wrote those instructions did their work on a mock up motor and didn't need to pull out swivels and 1/4" ratchets to get into the EGR bolt area.
Joooo guys are obsessed with RTV and exhaust lol. FWIW I've done three sets of speed daddy's w/o a drop of rtv or a leak. All three had the EGR still functioning.
