It dies when i slow down to approach an intersection or a stop sign. It doesnt idel the same since the intake manifold was replaced. The electronic idel pully is in place and there isnt any leaks in the vaccume hoses, also, there is no gas leak. It never did this before some family members replaced the intake-manifold.It does great on the highway but not around town...97 Grand Prix, 3.8 .... Please help!!

Sounds to me its the maff sensor... or hoses ...

but if it didnt do it prior to the family member working on the car. I would double check everthing......

Do you have the screen in your throttle body? If so. Your IAC needs cleaned like stated above. It's located in the throttle body. You can clean it with carb or brake cleaner. You need to remove the IAC to do this.

IT could also be a dirty MAF sensor. To clean it do the same.
