See the other problem with that is the last time I soft deleted a post it turned into an all out "moderator is a faggot for deleting my bad language filled nonsense" And more crap like that. Then they get mad because they were infracted for continued warnings about the nonsense in their posts.

because clearly we dont infract enough people. if we start using the infraction system more frequently we are going to lose a few of the active members who may not think its fair because infractions dont expire that quickly. i can rattle off a pretty solid list of people that would already have been banned by now. we are doing a service FOR FREE to help keep **** in line around here. if you guys want us to use the rules and infractions/banning to our advantage then so be it, but be warned that people will disappear.

in my feeble attempt to ignore the idiocy that happens around here i usually overlook a lof ot things. hell, i was the one the reopened that thread so that you guys could continue on because it was already gone and lost forever. who was i to care that 90% of the material wasn't relevant or on topic? silly me.

this is also a two sided debate. you all have a 'report post' button. you know who has used it the most out of anyone? snowflake, and it's because you're all douches towards the guy. he deserves at least a little credit for what he has done. notice how none of the mods stepped into that thread and said anything negative? it's weird how sensible we can be and still handle your daily rants because you're on the internet and you're right. im going to start relieving people for a week at a time instead of doing an infraction just to make my point that much more powerful.

all in all, we are here to help you guys out. this forum would be a monsterous task to take on by one or even three of us. please for the love of god help us out and quit letting childish squabbles ruin threads. this is what seperates the retards all over the internet from the people that know how to type and think for themselves.

Look I understand where you are coming from Vet. I also understand where the mods are coming from. There are a couple of regulars that offer a lot of insight, but don't know when to shut the hell up and let it go. Closing a thread, then the rampage spews out into chat, that is not acceptable. It's time for people to put on their big boy and girl pants and grow the hell up.
 
People need to stop being imbecils. When the first TVS thread came up there were countless members (who don't understand SC maps) stating he would see no HP gains. Now they continue to be morons despite demonstrated huge gains.

It was locked and unlocked a couple times... I posted "Ugh, here we go again" and it was removed. lol. I don't think I recieved an infraction, if so I lost it along the way. Meh, don't really care. Its all BS anyways. People are e-fighting over stupid stuff... i mean really, its been a bashing since he came out with the TVS Rules thought and nobody has let it up. Granted he believes in it, so I can't really expect him to just go lie down, but if people would just say w/e and let it go, and not bother with even trying it, things would have worked out alot better. But no, Mine is better, screw the TVS, cost vs a Turbo vs a Whipple vs my D!CK vs your MOM and on and on its just stupid. Were adults (mostly), if you don't like his idea, don't do it, but don't rain on his parade (it did work and produces good numbers regardless), and don't give other people the idea that they shouldn't do it because this is better or that is better. People mod different ways, if turbos were the only way to get HP and supafastracekars then nobody would bother with getting GenVs anymore, they would just turbo up.

I should have been infracted multiple times but I wasn't. The moderaton team does do this in the their own free time which means not every post will be caught. But they all should be up to speed on what to do if a member (ex. myself) gets out of hand.

I agree that if the mods stepped on some of the people acting like douches, maybe there wouldn't be a need to keep locking these threads. I would love to see a thread about the TVS that is a technical discussion about what went into doing it. Unfortunately, that can't happen right now because of a select few people who have to jump into any TVS thread and keep crapping it up until it gets locked. Information that some people might be interested in gets lost behind all the BS.

I was there on Saturday and saw the TVS on the dyno. That car had a similar setup to mine except for the E60 and put down over 100 hp more than mine. Seems like other people might want to try the same thing if they could find out about it without drowning in all the drama.
