Lol its funny that you posted this. When I was changing struts I used a hammer propped up in the same position to hold the strut up so I could tighten the strut plates.
 
We put some 6 volt batteries under the tires of the camaro when we were pulling the motor and trans. Not sure which is more risky. Screwdriver is obviously less stable but the batteries were supporting the entire car lol

Funny you would say that....that's exactly what my dad did so we could get the bolts out of the transmission brace, whatever that thing is called lol. Goes from the transmission to the rearend IIRC. He benched pressed it while i stuck my hand up there to pull the bolts up through the top.
 
I use 6500lb ramps (per pair).

I set the park brake.

Then I put jackstands under the drip sills.

I put 4x4 wood behind the rear wheels.

Lastly I pile 1x6's under the hollow of the ramps.

Something is wrong with that picture, hes drinking Budweiser and Diet Coke. He must have been one can short and went looking for one cuz if he was drinking Budweiser he would also being drinking Coke not Diet Coke.
