• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Who got a good deal on there car?

2,900 for my 2002 GT w/ 149k miles on it. the thing drives like its brand new not even kidding. no rattles, nothing. interior is also in really good shape

the only thing is the paint is kinda ****ed up, which is no problem cause im painting it myself in the spring

$1800 for my 99 gt with 125,000-ish about a year ago. i thought my parents cut me a break, but looking at some of you guys, i should have looked around some more. grand prix's were still around 3k in the area though, and we owned it for the past 4 years/40k miles. so i felt safe with it

edit: holy sh!t, this is really old

I work at a GM dealer... within a day of each other I took in on trade a 1999 loaded GTP with 190,000KM(my current car) for $1000 and a 1998 GP with polished aluminum wheels from a 2004 GP GT for $1000 also... it had 140,000 KM... I swapped the wheels and now I drive the GTP with the 2004 Aluminum wheels... looks different.

I traded in my wife's 02' New Beetle and got what we owed left on it, which was actually a little more than blue book value in excellent condition which was 6500$
We got an 05' GTP with 57k miles for 10k$ out the door, plus above trade in, so if you consider the trade in, we got the GTP for 3500$
We got really lucky at a local dealer that just changed management and wanted to make a good impression with the community and the military. I am stationed at Fort Polk Louisiana and if it weren't for the military base, the local town would go broke.
I became really good friends with my car dealer, we play Call of Duty MW2 all the time together. If your ever on PS3 network look me up:

Wow... these REALLY make me regreat buying this thing new. But how could I pass on that GM family discount. Think the sticker was around 29K and got it for 21K out the door..... thanks granpa RIP.

Also noticed don't have grammar nazis on here... it would be "thier" not "there" in the title, sorry work at a printing company.

don't worry man, it's bugging me too haha. and i know about that gm discount, my dad cut a nice amount off his 04 sierra when he bought it new in 05. it's a really nice incentive to stay in the gm family

OK, I just bought a 2004 4dr Grand Prix with 163,000 miles for $1000. Interior is mint, car looks awesome. Owner had bought his wife another car and wanted it out of his driveway. I was/am very happy.

I'd say my car was a fair deal...but my sister's GT with 100k for 1500 was better.

All it needed was a $15 used MAF. :th_winking:

idk if i posted in this thread or not but my mint 99 GT with 80k mi was $4500. i bought it in 07 and the KBB was over 6K at the time

i paid more than i should have... but at the time it was the CLEANEST GTP i could find... paid 7500.00 with around 70 k miles IIRC... i had settlement money and wanted one bad so i jumped on this one. should have shopped around some more... but oh well.

I can buy grand prixs asis/wholesale from GM smart auction. I look at the auction list everyday it's kind cool.

One day I'll likely buy a GXP grand prix for myself, from myself, that way.

I bought my 2004 GT with 300,000 KM off a lady for $1100... car has roof and steering wheel controls... nice enough... cheap car for my GF who only drives 5000 KM per year.
